Summer seems to be passing by quite quickly. The Orphan Tour, Chrome Glidden Tour, One- and Two-Cylinder Tour, Great Lakes Regional Tour, and the Lewis & Clark Regional Tours are all behind us. But we still have more national, regional, and chapter tours ahead in 2024. I look forward to seeing more of you, our country, and all those beautiful antique cars.

Next year, 2025, is presenting a challenge for the club. So far, the 2025 Annual Membership and First Quarter Meeting, the progressive Orphan Tour, the Lewis & Clark Regional Hub Tour, and the VMCCA-hosted Revival AAA Glidden Tour are the only tours on the national calendar. I want to ask a big favor of all the VMCCA Regions (and Chapters) out there. Look at tours you have hosted—let's say from 10 to 15 to 20 years ago. Why not ask members of your region to recreate one or some of those tours? Maybe schedule one as a VMCCA National Tour.

For the newbies in the club, this would be a way of seeing parts of the country that they may not have had the opportunity to visit yet, along with making more new friends and getting better acquainted with the club. Please give it some thought. We need the help of our club members if we are to continue touring.

Pull out those past Bulb Horn magazines (or talk to some of the long-time members) for inspiration and check out those old tours. Kick ideas around at a local meeting; see if members will raise their hands and opt to host a tour. And, if you are thinking of hosting a tour, let me know as soon as possible so that dates can be locked in so as not to conflict with others.

Thank you,
Trisha Copley,
VMCCA Activities Vice President
